How Did We Get Started?
First established in 1831 and sold to Willem Johannes Krynauw in 1903, this is an old, untouched farm found on the side of a mountain that borders 8,000 hectares of mountain wilderness. Here, the landscape was gorgeous and the natural environment inviting.
Apart from the lower fields, this beautiful landscape has been left untouched since then, with an abundance of flora and fauna covering the area, and two mountain streams running through.
We set up our mountain getaway here so that our guests can truly feel immersed in nature without having to travel for hours and hours to get there. From the beginning, we were clear in our vision; we wanted to create a place for people to get away and reconnect with nature.
